Services organised around resident tasks
Global search, service categories, and direct pathways help people move from a practical need to structured guidance.
Tenth Tech / Research & Development
A Digital Front Door for Rawalpindi
Reimagining how residents connect with their city.
Rawal One is an independent civic technology demonstration developed by Tenth Tech. Built around Rawalpindi, Pakistan, it brings resident services, verified public information, transport guidance, and municipal communication workflows into a connected digital experience.
Project snapshot
Independent R&D disclosure
Rawal One is an independent Tenth Tech research and development demonstration. It is not an official Rawalpindi government service, commissioned municipal platform, government partnership, or operational municipal transaction system.
All administrative workflows and municipal content are demonstration material. The public interface must not be used as an authority for emergencies, live service status, or official transactions.
Product surface
The supplied screen establishes the product context before the wider system is explained.

One connected civic experience
Each part of the demonstration has a distinct role, from public discovery to controlled content administration.
01 / Discover
Global search, service categories, and direct pathways help people move from a practical need to structured guidance.
02 / Understand
Service pages combine status context, steps, FAQs, related services, and support information without pretending to complete official transactions.
03 / Navigate
Census context, a 34-entry police directory across 11 circles, and the 24-station Metrobus sequence are presented with documented sources and limitations.
04 / Publish
Authenticated workflows support demonstration alerts, notices, PDF documents, city updates, and community events with publication states and protected write access.
05 / Include
Semantic structure, keyboard focus, responsive layouts, browser zoom support, reduced motion, and resident-controlled display preferences follow WCAG 2.2 AA-oriented principles without claiming certification.
Problem and research context
Public information can be arranged around departments and administrative structures even when residents arrive with a practical task: understand a service, find an emergency resource, check transport guidance, or locate a public notice.
Rawal One explores a resident-centred alternative for Rawalpindi. It is a product and engineering investigation, not the result of an official government research programme or commissioned municipal transformation.
Resident-first digital experience
The product organises civic content around discoverable tasks and consistent pathways, with local context carried through the interface rather than added as decoration.
System architecture
The demonstration separates resident discovery, structured civic content, authenticated publishing, and public presentation while keeping each layer understandable.
Implementation evidence
Technology marks appear only where the project stack has been confirmed.
Project gallery
Real supplied screens are grouped by the part of the product or website they explain. Full-page captures keep their original proportions.
01 / Resident digital front door
The searchable directory organises 16 implemented service guides by task and category.

02 / Information that helps residents act
The guide and directory screens show how practical steps, FAQs, related pathways, filtering, and source limits are presented. All service status content shown is demonstration data.

03 / Rawalpindi in context
The city hub and original Metrobus schematic connect scoped public information with Rawalpindi-specific visual language. Interface photography credits: Aleem Yousaf, CC BY-SA 2.0; Naseerabbas, CC BY-SA 3.0; and King Eliot, CC BY-SA 4.0.

04 / Inclusive access
The responsive accessibility panel exposes text size, high contrast, link underlining, and reduced-motion preferences without claiming independent WCAG certification.

What Tenth Tech demonstrated
Rawal One demonstrates how product research, civic UX, full-stack engineering, authenticated content administration, public information integration, accessibility-conscious implementation, and deployment preparation can operate as one maintainable application.
The valid outcome is the developed demonstration and the design and engineering evidence it contains. No adoption, service usage, operational government impact, or municipal partnership is claimed.
A privacy-gated Google Analytics 4 integration is implemented, but production activation remains conditional and is not presented as active analytics.
